Introduction
Thanks for picking Boltex Game. It's a simple Tic-Tac-Toe (XO) game — you can play a quiet round against the computer, or jump into a random match against someone else online.
This page explains, in plain language, what we do and don't do with your information. We built the game to work with as little of it as possible.
Information we collect
You won't be asked to sign up or hand over an account to play. That means no:
- Full name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Password
To make online multiplayer work, the app quietly generates an anonymous player ID. It's just a technical tag used to keep track of a session and connect you with an opponent — it isn't built to identify who you are.
How we use information
Whatever information passes through the app, it's put to work on things like:
- Setting up online multiplayer matches.
- Pairing you with a random opponent.
- Keeping a game session running smoothly.
- Catching technical issues or misuse early.
- Remembering your preferences and settings.
- Making the app itself more stable and reliable.
Online multiplayer
Want to play a stranger instead of the computer? Our servers handle a small amount of technical information behind the scenes just to open and hold that connection, and to pair you with whoever else is waiting for a match.
None of that requires your real name, email, or phone number. You just show up and play.
Local storage
Some things are simply kept on your own device, so the app remembers you next time you open it:
- Your game settings.
- Sound preferences.
- Theme preferences.
- Progress and stats from games you've played.
- An anonymous device or player identifier.
It stays on your device to keep the app working the way you left it — nothing more.
Notifications
At some point the app may ask if it can send you notifications — things like:
- An invitation to an online game.
- Updates on a match in progress.
- Other game-related news.
Changed your mind? You can turn these off anytime from your device settings.
Internet connection
You'll need to be online for a few things:
- Playing online multiplayer.
- Connecting to our game servers.
- Getting online updates or notifications.
No signal? No problem — a round against the computer usually still works offline.
Third-party services
We lean on a few outside services to make things like push notifications and online play possible. They handle a limited amount of technical information — just enough to do their job.
One thing we won't do: sell your personal information. Ever.
Children's privacy
Boltex Game is made for a general audience, and we don't knowingly gather personal information from children.
Since there's no account to create, nobody — kids included — ever has to hand over a name, email, or phone number just to play a round.
Data security
We take reasonable steps to keep the information the app and its online services rely on safe. That said, no system of storing or sending data over the internet can be promised as 100% secure — we don't claim otherwise.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Every so often we'll update this policy as the game changes. Whenever we do, you'll see it reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of the page.
